Yes. The Basic plan has no monthly fee. A small 5% fee is added to the customer's total at checkout — that's Kitchn's fee, collected separately. Order payments themselves run through your own Stripe account, so funds land directly in your balance and you pay Stripe's standard processing rates, the same as any Stripe merchant.

Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time from your dashboard, and the change takes effect at the start of your next billing cycle.

No. The Basic plan is free to start with nothing upfront, and paid plans are billed monthly — or annually if you choose the discounted annual option.

Yes. The 5% service fee per order is flat and transparent — there are no hidden charges and no 30% marketplace commissions. Payments themselves run through your own Stripe account at Stripe's published standard rates — nothing marked up, nothing hidden there either.

Your own Stripe account does. Every order lands directly in your Stripe balance, your restaurant's name is what shows up on the customer's card statement, and payouts run on Stripe's schedule (daily by default). You pay Stripe's standard processing rates, same as any Stripe merchant — no middleman holding your funds. Kitchn's fee — 5% on retail orders, or a flat $7 per catering order — is collected separately from the customer at checkout.

You can cancel at any time — there are no long-term contracts. Your plan simply stays active until the end of the period you already paid for.
